The heat is on! After 1968 and 2005, Singapore hit the highest temperature of 35degrees Celsius again on February 2010, it is not just because its summertime but because El Nino effect. This is really so hot that people living here would rather stay indoor than go out on day time. But this heat doesn’t match the happiness and excitement in the hearts of the Members of Church of God here in Singapore! They are all set to be a part of quarterly Thanksgiving to God of the whole congregation.
Starting from choir and Teatro Kristiano who- at almost all part of jamming- will lead the brethren in singing and dancing, thus they are ready add life and spice on singing sessions; then the GCOS (Guest Coordinating Committee) who are assigned to look after the visitors and visiting brethrens for these 3days, the medical team care of Lingap committee, plus the joint efforts of locale officers to make this event organized.
This one-of-a-kind quarterly celebration, will be on March 13-15,2010 and all church members around the world is equally thrilled and geared up for this much-awaited event. This includes none-Filipino members around the globe in South America, Europe, Asia, Middle East, and Africa. Monitoring centers in these continents are now prepared and ready for the 3-day event. Not to mention Papua New Guinea who requires larger venue for attendees, especially that there are newly baptized being the fruit of the recent live indoctrination held last February. Likewise in the Philippines where the bulk mass of members live, they are ready and energized. Even those that need to travel very far, they don’t mind the hurdles ahead. As such, t the ADD Convention Center, where the biggest bulk of attendees is expected to land, reconstruction, redesigning, and widening projects are up daily. Social welfare amenities, such as the transient house and the hospital, are also ready for the grand event. According to MCGI Vice-Presiding Minister Bro. Daniel Razon, these efforts are aimed at ensuring the safety and comfort of the congregants.
Bro. Eli Soriano and Bro Daniel Razon will lead the whole congregation for these 3day-happening. Much awaited new wisdoms from the bible is being anticipated for the feast- the feast that is not showered with delectable foods, fireworks, and all fancy decors- but with wisdom from God that our adversaries cannot resist. As mentioned in Luke 21:15 “For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist.”
